James Leng is an architect. 

He is currently a Senior Designer at Michael Maltzan Architects, based in Los Angeles. Previously, he has worked for a wide range of offices including OMA, UNStudio, Renzo Piano, and DS+R.

James attended the Harvard Graduate School of Design, where he received his Masters of Architecture. He also holds a Bachelors of Arts in Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley.

He was most recently a recipient of the SOM Prize, and traveled around the world examining notions of obsolescence and resilience in buildings, infrastructure, and cities.
